Discovering Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Following the success of "Quattro passi in Cantina", we are now hosting the first edition of the Short Course on Introduction to and Tasting of Extra Virgin Olive Oils in collaboration with OLEA - Organization of Laboratory Experts and Tasters.
This will be an opportunity to refine your sense of smell and taste in olive oil tasting, to discover the differences between various types of oil, and to gain historical and technical insights into this cultivation. The ultimate aim will be to understand that, much like wine, there is a perfect oil to accompany each dish.
Discovering Extra Virgin Olive Oil will take place at our Winery on Wednesday, April 10, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM and is organized into two parts, theoretical and practical:
Theory:
• The olive tree and oil between history and legend - olive cultivation
• Olive harvesting - oil extraction and preservation
• Sensory analysis and commercial classes of oil
• Oil and health - using oil in cooking
Practice:
• Guided tasting of at least 4 educational oils
• Tasting of typical products using representative oils
Throughout this journey, we will be accompanied by instructors and experts from OLEA:
– Renzo Ceccacci, President of OLEA
– Giorgio Sorcinelli, Director of OLEA
– Costantino Piermaria, Secretary of OLEA
We look forward to seeing you on April 10th at our Winery (Contrada Tosciano 28, Ripatransone) starting from 8:00 PM. Places are limited, reserve yours. For info and reservations, call us at 0735 99940.
