WOW! 2024 – The Italian Wine Competition

This onomatopoeic-sounding competition is organized by Civiltà del Bere – an Italian wine and gastronomic culture magazine – and pawards the best wines that demonstrate the ability to combine intrinsic quality and territorial identity.

The team of Italian wine critics, divided into tasting panels, evaluated Italian wines in search of excellence tied to typicity and that WOW! factor, the most spontaneous expression of beauty and enjoyment, which in wines translates into admiration and wonder.
Four wines made the jury exclaim the fateful Wow!

Condivio 2018 – Offida DOCG Pecorino
Gold WOW! 2024 – Typicity 8
Tasting report: “Deep golden color. Rich, complex nose with an exotic touch, hints of dried fruit and acacia honey. On the palate, it's dynamic and savory. Good length. Elegant nose with notes of ripe fruit, floral accents, and hints of medicinal herbs. Strong mineral presence in the mouth with light vanilla sensations. Dynamic and fresh. A complex and intricate olfactory framework where saline notes blend with fruity and floral accents and scents of Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth, it's lively, intricate, elegant, and well-balanced.”

Diavolo e Vento 2019 – Marche IGT Rosso
Silver WOW! 2024 – Typicity 8
Tasting report: “Deep garnet ruby in appearance. Spicy, enveloping, with notes of black cherry, blueberry, maraschino, and sweet spices on the nose. Decisive flavor with robust and youthful tannins, it's a full-bodied wine with great impact. Nose of ripe fruit, slightly open, but of fair freshness. Juicy on the palate: the small percentage of Cabernet gives it liveliness and character. Finish with cherry aromas; very well-managed wood. Ruby of medium depth. Nose of good complexity with notes of ripe fruit and spices. Enveloping palate, medium length, and a finish tending to sweetness.”

Tasting report: “Pale rosé color. Fruity and fragrant on the nose with notes of currant and yeasts. Tense, fresh, and simple flavor: overall, it's a pleasant and easy-to-drink wine; subtle finish. Rose petal color. Nose of good complexity, dynamic and characterized by notes of small red fruits. Subtle palate, of good depth, savory. Rather soft nose with fruity hints of wild strawberry. Corresponding palate, quite enjoyable and of good freshness.”
